Two civilians killed in mobile petrol tank blast in Nassirya Province:

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: Two civilians have been killed in a mobile petrol tank explosion northwest of southern Iraq’s Thi-Qar Province on Sunday, according to a Dhi-Qar securiy source. “A mobile truck, loaded with petrol, that had an accident with another truck, loaded with sports materials, blew up close to al-Fahad Bridge, 25 kms to the northwest of Nassiriya city, the center of Thi-Qar Province, destroying the mobile fuel tank and killing two civilians,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that fire-extinguishing and civil defense cars had rushed to the venue of the accident that caused a thick cloud of smoke, adding that the fire-extinguising cars had managed to put off the fire after one hour of the accident. “Another bus, carrying passengers from Nassiriya to Samawa city, the center of Muthanna Province, had suffered material damage due to its accident with the said trucks, but caused any harm to its passengers, the security source added. Nassirya, the capital of Thi-Qar Province, is 380 kms to the south of Baghdad. WT (A) / SKH 69
