U.S. Army patrol struck by landmine in Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A landmine blew up under a U.S. Army patrol in west Iraq’s Anbar Province on Sunday, but there are not yet any reports on casualties, an Anbar Police Command source said.   “A military patrol, belonging to the American forces, was the target of a landmine explosion, planted on the roadside in Baghdadi village, 180 km to the west of Ramadi, the center of Anbar Province. The number of casualties is not yet known,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that the U.S. forces had cordoned off the venue of the explosion, closing all roads leading to the area, in order to evacuate its targeted vehicles.   Ramadi, the center of Anbar Provice, is 160 km to the west of Baghdad.   SKH (TS) 660
