U.S. conf. on role of law in southern Iraq

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The U.S. forces in Iraq will hold a conference on the role of law in the southern provinces of Thi-Qar, Missan and Muthanna. “The conference will be held in the U.S. base of al-Amam in southern Nassiriya and will be attended by judges, lawyers, Iraqi police commanders, law experts from the reconstruction team, U.S. lawyers, and money counterfeiting experts,” according to a U.S. statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The U.S. forces are committed to providing the necessary assistance to Iraqi security forces,” the statement added.
