Unknown body found west of Makhmour

Arbil-Makhmour ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces on Thursday found an unknown body in the west of Makhmour district, an army source said. “An Iraqi army force found on Thursday (Jan. 8) an unidentified corpse of a young man, estimated in his 30s, on the main road between Makhmour and al-Qayara, west of Makhmour,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The body was sent to the forensic medicine department in al-Qayara,” he added. He did not give more details. The disputed Makhmour district is administratively affiliated with Ninewa province. It is 68 km southwest of Arbil city, which lies 362 km northeast of the capital Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 1
