URGENT: 17 dead, 28 injured in suicide bombing in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday according to a police source, 17 people were killed and 28 others wounded in the suicide bombing near the Shiite shrine in the Harithiya west of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “The outcome of the explosion by a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt this near a Shiite shrine in the area of Harthiya, amounted to 17 dead and 28 others injured,” noting that “the preliminary death toll is subjected to the rise due to the severity of the bombing. ”

The source, who requested anonymity, added that “the injured are still receiving treatment at a nearby hospital while the dead bodies are being transported to the forensic medicine department.”
