URGENT/ 5 wounded in 2nd Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  Five persons were wounded in an explosive charge attack in eastern Baghdad, the second blast to hit the Iraqi capital today, Iraqi police said. “A roadside improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men in Baghdad’s eastern neighborhood of Zayouna detonated while a police patrol vehicle was passing the location, wounding three patrolmen and two civilians, who were close to the scene,” a police source told IraqiNews.com. The explosion caused damage to a patrol car, the source noted, adding that security forces cordoned off the whole area and took the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment. Earlier today, a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men in al-Qahira neighborhood, close to the Higher Judicial Institute in northeastern Baghdad went off while an Iraqi police patrol vehicle was passing the location.
