Urgent – Car bomb explodes in Sadr city

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) 19 civilians were killed and injured due to a car bomb explosion in eastern Baghdad.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Thursday that ”The car bomb, which was parked near a popular restaurant in Sadr city, exploded on Thursday evening,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing two civilians and injuring 17 citizens as an initial count.”

The source added “The police cordoned the explosion scene in anticipation of any more explosions while the ambulances rushed transporting the dead bodies to the morgue and the injured citizens to the hospital for treatment.” \
