Urgent – 3 Car bombs explode southern Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) More than thirty persons were killed and injured when three car bombs exploded in southern Baghdad.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Sunday that ”The explosions of the three car bombs resulted in killing five persons and wounding (28) others as an initial account,” noting that “The explosion took place at a market’s entrance in Mahmudiya district of southern Baghdad.”

The source added “The explosion caused material damage to the buildings and shops near by the explosion scene.”

The source continued saying that ”The police cordoned the explosion scene off while the ambulances rushed to transport the dead bodies to the morgue and the injured people to the hospital for treatment.” \
