Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) on Friday the Iraqi Department of Defense announced the liberation of the area of Dhuluiya completely in Salahuddin province, which was encircled by the so-called the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), after the destruction of wheels belonging to ISIS and the killing dozens of its elements.

The media adviser of the Iraqi Department of Defense Lt. Gen. Mohammed al-Askari said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “today, the regular security forces were able to liberate Dhuluiya (80 km south of Tikrit) from the organization ISIS fully,” adding that “the military liberation battle resulted in the destruction of many ISIS’s wheels and the killing of scores of its members.”

The head of the provincial council in Salahuddin Ahmed Karim announced earlier today the start of liberation processes in the surrounding areas of the district of Dhuluiya from three axis.
