URGENT: Lebanese authorities arrest al-Baghdadi’s wife and son on Syrian border

 

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Lebanese security officials announced that, the leader of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s wife and one of his sons were arrested on border with Syria.

Today, Reuters quoted an official as saying, “The Lebanese army detained the wife of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and one of his sons while they were trying to cross from Syria in the past few days.”

Reuters indicated that the officials refused to reveal the wife’s name and nationality.
