Urgent – Nijaifi, Commanders of BOC, DOC refused to attend Parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker of the Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, revealed “The commanders of Baghdad Operations Command and Dejla Operations Command refused to attended the Parliament unless they were summoned by the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.Nijaifi reported in press conference attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com that ”The Commanders of Baghdad OC and Dejla OC refuse to attend the Parliament unless they were summoned by Maliki who rejected their request to host them, ” stressing that ”The Government should respond in case of investigation and hosting.””The Parliament should take charge in case the Commanders refused to attend the Parliament to discuses the security situation, ”adding that, pointing out ”Some of the political blocs accept the hosting requests while others refuse which hinder the supervisory role of the Parliament,” the statement concluded.
