Urgent – .one of Abu Ghraib prison’s escapees arrested

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) One of the inmates who escaped from Abu Ghraib prison has been arrested in Baghdad.

Gunmen had attacked on last Sunday Abu Ghrab prison and Taji prison in Baghdad using IEDs, mortars and machine guns where they managed to free hundreds of prisoners including Qaeda leaders.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Sunday “Security force captured one of the escapees from Abu Ghraib prison while he was hiding inside a mosque in New Baghdad neighborhood to the south-east of Baghdad.”

“The arrest was based on tips provided by the neighborhood’s people,” the source added.
