URGENT: PM Maliki orders opening all closed Baghdad streets

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Prime Minister, on his capacity as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has ordered the armed forces to open all the closed streets in Baghdad on Wednesday, according to an urgent Report by the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV Network.   “The Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Nouri al-Maliki, has ordered all the military forces to open all the closed streets of Baghdad , without any exception,” the Network said.   Most of the said Baghdad streets were closed by the Iraqi authorities after Iraq ’s occupation by the U.S.-led forces in 2003.   SKH (PT) 1011
