(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday the head of the security committee in Khalidiya district in Anbar province, Ibrahim Fahdawi, announced that 60% of the axes and the entrances of the city of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad) have been liberated, noting that the cleansing battles resulted in the killing of 40 ISIS elements.

Ibrahim Fahdawi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that “60% of the axes and the entrances surrounding Ramadi have been liberated from ISIS, during the confrontations and battles of Ramadi liberation.”

Fahdawi added that “the security forces of the army and police carried out extensive military operations that were considered the deadliest of its kind against the terrorist organization, killing 40 elements of the organization,” asserting that “the next few hours will be decisive.”
