Urgent – ..Tikrit Prison’s gunmen control weapons cache

Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) The gunmen who attacked and controlled the Tasfirat Prison of Tikrit city on last Thursday managed to control a weapons cache stored inside the prison.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com Friday “A group of gunmen, with assistance of prisoners, still control Tasfirat Prison in Tikrit,” noting that “They keep the Manager of the Prison, Colonel Laith al-Sakmani, and six injured guards as hostages.”

“The gunmen managed to seize and control a weapons cache stored inside the prison,” the source added.
