US drone down in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: A U.S. drone went down on Wednesday in a village northeast of Baaquba city, said a local security source. “The drone went down in al-Weesi village of the al-Miqdadiya district, 45 km northeast of Baaquba,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He explained that the drone was totally destroyed. “The reason that caused the drone to crash is unknown,” the source added. He noted that U.S. forces sealed off the crash area, and took away the drone’s parts. Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
