Wanted man arrested west of Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A force from the Kirkuk Districts’ Police Department captured a wanted man west of Kirkuk city on Tuesday, according the KDPD director. “Iyad Ismail Ahmed Aswat al-Ta’ie of the Saktat Bai Hassan, al-Debis district, (45 km) west of Kirkuk, was arrested on Tuesday morning in accordance with Article 4 of the law on terrorism,” Brig. Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The operation was carried out upon intelligence tip-offs. Ta’ie was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department for questioning,” Qader added. The oil-rich Kirkuk, a city of mixed Arab, Kurdish and Turkmen population, lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 2
