Wanted person arrested southwest of Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A force from the Kirkuk Districts’ Police Department arrested on Wednesday a wanted man southwest of Kirkuk, according to the KDPD chief. “The force arrested on Wednesday (June 2) a wanted man at a checkpoint on the main road between Kirkuk and al-Huweija district,” Brig. Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The detainee lives in al-Namla village in al-Abbasi district, southwest of Kirkuk,” he added. “He was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department for questioning,” Qader said. The oil-rich Kirkuk, a city of mixed Arab, Kurdish and Turkmen population, lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad. SH (P) 2
