Iraq, Czech Republic examine partnership opportunities

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and the Czech Prime Minister, Petr Fiala, discussed on Tuesday possible strategies to expand cooperation and create partnerships with Czech companies.
The discussions took place during a meeting held in Washington DC, where Al-Sudani is paying an official visit to meet with the US President, Joe Biden, and other senior officials, including the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, according to a statement cited by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The meeting addressed possible ways to encourage cooperation between Iraq and the Czech Republic as well as partnership opportunities with Czech companies in the economic and development sectors.
The Iraqi Prime Minister assured his Czech counterpart that he would accept the official invitation to visit the Czech capital, Prague, as soon as possible to explore further prospects for bilateral collaboration and partnership.
Al-Sudani stated that Iraq aims to be open to all forms of economic integration and exchange, particularly in light of the infrastructure projects that the country is currently undergoing, as well as the potential for Czech companies to participate in raising the overall standards and investment opportunities available.
The Iraqi Prime Minister noted that his government also seeks to increase the private sector’s involvement in several specializations required by the country’s trade sector.
