 Iraqi PM receives Arab Gulf, Yemen ambassadors to Iraq in Basra

Basra (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with Gulf diplomats in Basra, southern Iraq, to discuss plans for hosting the 25th Gulf Cup.

Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain all sent ambassadors to Iraq to the meeting.

Al-Sudani emphasized the significance of the Arab Gulf Cup, highlighting its special meaning for Iraqis and Arabs in the Gulf.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the ambassadors to Iraq expressed their nations’ support for the success of the tournament and praised Iraq for hosting the Gulf Cup for the first time since 1979.

Additionally, Al-Sudani was informed yesterday of the preparations being made for the upcoming football matches at the Al-Minaa Olympic Stadium and the Basra International Stadium.
