Botswana team arrives in Turkey to meet Iraqi National Team friendly

Istanbul (IraqiNews.com) The National Football Team of Botswana arrived in Istanbul on Saturday noon to play a friendly match against the Iraqi National Football Team within the preparations of the Iraqi Team for the final stage of qualifiers for the World Cup of Brazil in 2014 which will start on June.

The Administrative Manager of the Iraqi Team Riyadh Abdul Abbas stated to IraqiNews.com “The Botswana team arrived on Saturday noon at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul to play a friendly match with the Iraqi team.”

“The time and location of holding the match will be settled after settling the arrival procedures of the Botswana team,” Abdul Abbas added, expecting to “postpone the match till next Monday.”

The Botswana team, also known as “The Zebras”, depends on some professional players playing in South Africa in addition to other local players.
