Iraq defeats Sierra Leone (1-0)

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Football Team managed to pass its first friendly match within the course of the training course held in Istanbul in Turkey successfully through defeating the National Team of Sierra Leone (1-0) on Wednesday.

The Iraqi goal was scored by the midfielder Nashat Akram who put the ball over the goalkeeper from a far distance at the fifth minute of the match.

The Iraqi team was the best all the time of the match which witnessed participation of most of the Iraqi players by the coach of the Iraqi Team, Zico, to check their readiness for the second friendly match against the Botswana team to be played next Sunday in Istanbul.
