Iraq loses to Iran 0-1 in friendly match

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Football Team lost its friendly match versus its Iranian counterpart (0-1) on Sunday within their preparations for the Asian Cup to start in Australia.

The first half of the match ended with 0-0 draw.

The Iranian team scored its goal at 57th minute of the match through its player Sardar Asmon.

The Iraqi team lost the chance to equalize when its captain, Younis Mahmoud, put the ball out of the bars by a penalty kick at 63rd minute of the match.

The match was held in Wolo Gong city in Australia before the start of the Asian Cup next Friday. /End/
