Iraq participates in kyokushinkai tournament in Japan late Nov BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Three players will represent Iraq in the international competition of kyokushinkai karate, to be hosted in Japan later this month, according to Iraq’s kyokushinkai federation on Sunday. “Iraq’s Haider Dakhil Muhammad, Muhammad Abbas Ali and Bashar Najeh Hussein will represent Iraq in the tournament that will be hosted in the Japanese capital Tokyo from November 27 to December 5 with participation of 70 teams from world countries,” Ammar Adnan Waheeb told IraqiNews.com. Kyokushin kai is a style of stand-up, full contact karate, founded in 1964 by Masutatsu Oyama. Kyokushinkai is Japanese for “the society of the ultimate truth.” It is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline and hard training. AmR (P)/SR 1
