Iraqi equestrians play in Sharm el-Sheikh tournament

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq will play in the Sharm el-Sheikh equestrian competitions, scheduled to start in early October in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city, the Iraqi equestrian federation said on Sunday. “More than 15 teams from the different continents of the world will play in the tournament, due to kick off on October 1-8,” the federation’s chief, Hayder Hussein al-Djemeili, told Iraqi News. “In the next couple of days, the federation will name the Iraqi team that would go to Sharm el-Sheikh as Iraq is expected to play in the international championship with only four horsemen,” Djemeili added. He said that the Iraqi team is training on a daily basis in the Jordanian capital Amman under coach Riad Ayed Radi. AmR (P) 1
