Iraqi Football team qualifies for semi finals of Asian Cup U16

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Football Team Under 16 qualified for the semi finals of the Asian Cup currently held in Na Jiang city of China after beating the Thai counterpart 3-0.

The match which was held on Monday evening witnessed scoring three goals by the Iraqi players Muhanned al-Shimari (2 goals) and Ali Dawood, then the Iraqi player Muhanned al-Shimari was booked twice to leave the match at 67th minute, leaving the Iraqi team playing with ten players.

The Iraqi team will face the Iranian counterpart next Wednesday.

The Iraqi team came second in its group after beating Singapore and Kuwait and losing in front of South Korea.
