Iraqi paralympic delegation heads for Germany

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A delegation from the Iraqi paralympic committee will leave Baghdad on Monday heading for Germany to sign a long-term cooperation agreement with the German paralympic committee. “A preliminary agreement had been signed between the two committees during the Beijing Paralympic Games held last September, and the visit aims to sign the final agreement,” Qahtan al-Naaeimi, the president of the Iraqi paralympic committee, told IraqiNews.com. “The delegation includes the committee’s vice president Khaled Rishk and the secretary general Fakhir al-Jamali,” he added. “Talks with the German paralympic committee will start tomorrow and the visit’s agenda includes visits to handicapped centers and sports centers in Germany,” he said, noting that the delegation will wrap up the visit on December 17.
