Iraq’s Karate team 2nd in intl. games

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Karate team has come second in an international tournament that took place in Iran from December 23-26 with the participation of 15 countries. “Iraq has won a gold, five silvers and 14 bronze medals,” the secretary general of Iraq’s Central Karate team, Adel Idan, told IraqiNews.com by phone. Players from Russia, North Korea, Japan, Jordan, Bangladesh, Georgia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan took part in the competitions.
