Mustapha Karim moves to Sharjah

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Ismaili and Iraqi national team’s striker Mustapha Karim ended his contract with Egypt’s Ismaili club and transferred to Emirate’s Sharjah, according to a well-informed source. “Karim got the green light from the Ismaili’s board after two successful seasons in Egypt to start a new challenge in Emirate,” the source told Iraqi News, noting that Sharjah will pay $325,000 for the talented striker. Karim’s contract in Ismaili runs out by next summer and the league runners-up failed reach an agreement with the Iraqi over a new deal. The 22-year-old has been a key figure in Ismaili’s frontline in recent years, despite some ups and downs with previous managers. Karim had joined Ismaili in 2007 for three years coming from Arbil.
