175 displaced families in Muthanna return home

MUTHANNA / IraqiNews.com: A total of 175 displaced families in Muthanna province have returned home throughout the past few months, a local official said on Wednesday. “Those families have returned to their houses in the provinces of Baghdad, Diala, Salah al-Din, Babel, and Ramadi in light of the improvement in security conditions,” the head of the office of the Iraqi Ministry of Displacement and Migration, Bassem Kadhem Mohammed, told IraqiNews.com news agency. According to the office, an estimated 2,350 displaced families are currently living in the province. Samawa, the capital city of Muthanna province, lies 280 km south of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
