200 power generators to Sadr, Shoala cities

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity on Tuesday said that in coordination with Sadr city’s reconstruction committee, it will distribute 200 diesel-driven power generators, with a total capacity of 80 Megawatt, to the residents of the two cities of Sadr and Shoala in Baghdad. “The capacity of each generator is 400 KV,” said a release issued by the ministry and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The generators will work separately from the ministry’s power network,” it added. “Sadr city will receive 160 generators, while Shoala city will receive 40,” it noted. “The generators will be operated according to an accurate schedule decided by the residents of the two cities, local councils, and electricity departments,” it revealed.
