250,000 olive trees to grow in Kurdistan

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A 10-day campaign to plant 250,000 olive trees in different parts of Iraq’s Kurdistan region was wrapped up on Tuesday, the chairman of the Maan (Together) Association for the Protection of Environment and Human Being said. “Today, we completed the planting of 250,000 olive tree cuttings in Arbil, Sulaimaniya and Duhuk, in cooperation with the ministries of agriculture, higher education, and the sport and youth, in addition to two organizations: Greenpeace and Kurdistan Volunteers,” Saadiya Ahmed told IraqiNews.com.
