$50 million to rehabilitate Babel’s hospitals

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: The Babylon Center for Business Community Development (BCBCD), in coordination with the U.S. Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), will start executing the project to rehabilitate Babel province’s hospitals and provide them with advanced medical equipments in Feb. 2010, the center’s director said on Wednesday, explaining that the project’s total cost is $50 million. “The project will embrace 16 hospitals in the province,” Salah Bahiya told IraqiNews.com news agency. “All equipment is U.S. manufactured, and will be supplied by a U.S. charitable organization,” he said. “The first dispatch of the equipment will arrive in Iraq within this week,” he added.
