Cultural development fund proposed by expat poet

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi expatriate poet has proposed a project to set up a cultural development fund in Iraq. “I have submitted a proposal to the ministers of culture in Iraq and the Kurdistan region, Maher al-Hadithi and Falak al-Din Kakai, for the establishment of a cultural development fund to support festivals in the country,” Poet Moneim al-Faqeer, who is currently based in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “It is a good idea and the governments in Baghdad and the Kurdistan region should support it,” Minister Kakai said.
