Diesel-driven station installed to boost power grid

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The General Systems Company has signed a contract with the Iraqi Electricity Ministry to install a diesel-run power generating station at a cost of 25 million Euros. “The station, which will be completed within 18 months, is expected to supply the national grid with 320 MW,” a media source from the Ministry of Industry and Minerals told IraqiNews.com news agency. The company has also signed two contracts with the Kirkuk Cement Factory and the Kabeesa Cement Factory worth $269,000 and $524,620 respectively, the source added. SS (P) 1
