First flight between Mosul, Dubai Wednesday

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The first flight between Dubai and Ninewa will start next Wednesday after the agreement between the Iraqi Airlines and the UAE Jubiter Airlines, the director of the Mosul airport said on Friday. “The Mosul airport on Wednesday (Feb. 25) will receive the first flight coming from Dubai after the agreement between the Iraqi Airlines and the UAE Jubiter Airlines to organize flights between the two cities,” Adham Ahmed Ali told IraqiNews.com news agency. “This is the first international flight for the Mosul airport for more than 19 years,” he noted. The airport was closed in 1993 after the decision taken by the U.S. to impose a ban on the Iraqi flights after the end of the first gulf war. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa province, is 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (P) 1
