Iranian nuclear site far from Iraqi southern borders – environment minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  Iraqi minister of environment  Sarjoon Slaiwa announced that establishing nuclear reactors necessitates meeting all international safety standards and subject to supervision of International Atomic Energy Agency.   Referring to Iranian Boshehr site, he added that it is far from Iraqi southern borders.   Slaiwa told IraqiNews.com that “nuclear reactors are internal affairs of countries”.   “Iranian site is relatively far from Iraqi southern borders”, he added.   Iran celebrated yesterday ending the work in Boshehr nuclear reactor, which started operation today by connecting it with national electricity network .   The reactor provides 350-400 megawatts of electricity in the first stage to be increased to 900 megawatts in full capacity.
