Iraqi-U.S higher education committees

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research formed a number of combined committees with a U.S. scientific research academy, aimed at reinforcing mutual scientific cooperation between the two countries, according to the ministry’s media director. “The committees were formed during a meeting that embraced Abdi Thiab al-Ajeeli, the Iraqi minister of higher education and scientific research, and the director of a U.S. scientific research academy,” Seham al-Shejeri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The committees will discuss mechanisms to arrange training programs for Iraqi college professors, and to delegate Iraqi masters and doctoral students to study in the U.S.,” she added.
