Kurdish Writer Mahmoud Zamdar passes away

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The outstanding Kurdish Writer, Mahmoud Zamdar, has passed away in an Arbil Hospital on Thursday at the age of 66, the Chairman of the Kurdish Writers Union reported.   “Zamdar has passed away in Arbil’s Republican Hospital on Thursday due to a disease he suffered from over the last period of his life,” Abdul-Rahman Farhadi told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Writer Zamdar, born in Arbil city in 1944 and graduated from Baghdad University ’s Collage of Literature – Kurdish Section in 1970, had worked in several Kurdish newspapers and magazines and had authored more than 30 books.   SKH (PT)
