Kurdistan’s cabinet donates 1.5 billion ID to displaced families in Sinjar

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Kurdistan’s regional cabinet on Tuesday donated 10 million Iraqi diners to 150 displaced families in Sinjar, through the office to implement Iraqi constitutional item 140 in the suburb (Ninewa province), according a source form the office. “The total donated amount is 1.5 billion Iraqi diners,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “An amount of around $8,944 was received by each family,” he said. Item 140 deals with the disputed areas between the Iraqi federal government and the regional cabinet of Kurdistan. Sinjar suburb lies 120 km west of Mosul, which is the capital city of Ninewa province, and lies 405 km north of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
