Maritime company signs MoU with Japanese company

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi Maritime Company signed a Memo of Understanding (MoU) with a Japanese company to cooperate in fields of maritime shipping and issuing BCL certificates for the commodities imported by Iraq. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport, copy received by IraqiNews.com, both sides stressed the importance of bilateral relations. On the other side, the ministry conducted talks with the World Bank officials in Amman, Jordan, to modernize the transport system in Iraq, which was prepared by a group of Italian companies in 2005 within the framework of a financial grant given by the Italian government.
