UNESCO chooses Basra official to chair UN goodwill ambassadors’ conference

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has chosen Nabeel al-Ameer, the public relations advisor of the Basra governor, to chair the conference of UN goodwill ambassadors that will take place early Oct. 2010. “The conference will take place in Uganda, from Oct. 4 to the 6th, 2010,” al-Ameer told IraqiNews.com news agency on Thursday. He explained that the conference will be attended by 13 presidents and 500 UN goodwill ambassadors from all over the world. “The conference will discuss a number of issues of global interest, such as human rights, woman, orphans, and emigrants,” al-Ameer added.
