Brent price touches $50 a barrel mark for first time since 2009

oil-prices-higher-amid-iraq-focus(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, the price of Brent crude has touched the $50 a barrel mark and continued its fall to $49.66 for the first time since 2009.

Analysts pointed out that the price of Brent crude was driven down by a glut in supply and shrinking demand that caused it to drop below $50 before it bounced back again to just over $51 a barrel.

Noteworthy, oil experts have expressed fear that Brent price might start falling again, especially with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rejecting to reduce their production.
