Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, the governor of Haditha district, Abdul-Hakim al-Jughaifi, announced that the central government will reopen the civil air bridge between Baghdad and al-Anbar within only two days.

Al-Jughaifi told IraqiNews, “The administration of the district conducted extensive contacts with senior officials within the central government in order to reopen the civil air bridge between Baghdad and Ain al-Asad airbase in al-Baghdadi area.”

He added, “The central government has agreed to reopen the civil air bridge within two days,” pointing out that, “The bridge will facilitate sending foodstuffs and humanitarian aids to the people of Haditha.”

Noteworthy, an official in the services committee of Haditha Council warned yesterday from catastrophic consequences for the district due to complete lack of foodstuffs and oil in the markets.
