Iraqi forces kill dozens of ISIS militants in south of Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that dozens of ISIS militants have been either killed or injured during clashes with the security forces in south of Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “Violent clashes between the ISIS group militants and the security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters have broken out in the area of Sur-Nash in north of Samarra, located 40 km south of Tikrit.”

The source also noted, “The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing and injuring dozens of ISIS militants,” adding that, “25 elements of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi have also been wounded during the clashes.”
