Preparations for Tikrit battle completed, says League of Righteous

(IraqiNews.com) League of the Righteous (Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq) movement announced on Tuesday, the completion of all preparations for the battle to liberate Tikrit, pointed out that they would fight street battles.
The military spokesman for the movement Jawad Al-Talabawi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “We have completed all preparations for the battle to liberate Tikrit from ISIS control.”
Al-Talabawi added, “There will be street wars.”
The Department of Defense announced on Tuesday that it would secure the return of displaced families to the liberated villages in Salahuddin province, indicating that the people of these villages had welcomed the security forces and al-Hashd al-Sha’bi militia.
The leader of the State of Law coalition, Abdul-Halim al-Zuhairi announced on Monday that the city of Tikrit was besieged by security forces, emphasizing that the ISIS ammunition and food were doomed to run out.
