Security forces fire intensive artillery on ISIS sites central Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a source in Salahuddin Operations Command said, that the security forces have begun an intensive artillery strike against ISIS shelters in central Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “The security forces have begun demolishing ISIS strongholds in central Tikrit by firing intensive artillery on the group’s shelters and hideouts,” asserting that, “The siege of Tikrit works to drain on resources of the group’s elements inside the city.”

“The city has been almost emptied of people,” the source also added.
