(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The international coalition led by Washington announced on Thursday the training of about 15,000 Iraqi security elements, noting that the coalition has also provided 450 vehicles for detecting improvised explosive devices and mines.

The military spokesman of international coalition Steve Warren said in a press conference in the US embassy in Baghdad, attended by IraqiNews.com, “The coalition forces have trained more than 15,000 Iraqi security elements”, adding that “the coalition has provided 450 armored vehicles, 200 missiles and tens of millions of ammunition for tanks and machine guns.”

Warren noted, “The coalition also provided Iraq with 450 vehicles for detecting improvised explosive devices and mines, and more than 200 missiles used against car bombs.”

“Thanks to these efforts, the Iraqi forces regained 30% of the land that had been occupied by ISIS about a year ago,” he added.
