Iran is just in implementation of divine duty, says Ali Shamkhani
(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, said that the liberation of all occupied areas is going to take place soon, and will not leave an inch of Iraq under ISIS control.
During his meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Defense Khaled al-Obeidi, Shamkhani told Iranian news agency Fars, “The Takfiri terrorists are oppressing the Sunnis in Iraq and it’s necessary to retake the Sunni areas by the Sunni brothers.”
Shamkhani has also added, “Iran’s support for the Iraqi people to fight terrorism is based on religious principles that do differentiate between Shiites and Sunnis in the implementation of the divine duty,” asserting that, “Iran’s desire is to establish the stability and security in Iraq as well as the neighboring countries.”
