Barzani, Qaradaghi discuss political situation in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, discussed the political situation in Iraq and the Region with the head of the Kurdish Islamic Assembly and Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Ali al-Qaradaghi, on Saturday.

A statement by the Presidency of Kurdistan Region cited “Barzani received Qaradaghi where both sides discussed the conditions of the Syrian refugees in Kurdistan Region.”

“Qaradaghi appreciated the efforts of the Kurdistani Regional Government and Barzani’s role in this regard,” the statement added.

“Both sides stressed unifying the Kurdish stances and the importance of strengthening the relations among the Kurdish sides in this stage,” the statement concluded.
